- I recently moved to the Willamette Valley after living aboard Mexico for 3 years. I’m originally from Seattle where I received my B.S. degree in Geological Sciences at the University of Washington. My passion for “helping people learn” surfaced upon educating children and tourists in Mexico and Central America. It’s so amazing to see what a difference a person can make simply by empowering a child to feel important in their community just by arming them with a little bit of knowledge. Having experienced this is what propelled me towards my desire to teach. Some of my other passions other than traveling and sailing include, salsa dancing, skiing, exploring/hiking, tennis, and working with rescued horses. I also enjoy being a mom to my two kids, Taave and Elena.
